Research
What we study.
Four subjects, one standard. Everything Aureneum publishes is written, dated and attributable to its sources.
Subjects
The ground we cover.
Market structure
How venues, intermediaries and settlement arrangements shape the price a participant actually receives.
Monetary and fiscal mechanism
Balance sheets, issuance, reserves and the operational detail of how policy is executed rather than announced.
Policy transmission
The path from a decision to a print. Where it is fast, where it is slow, and where it fails to arrive at all.
Institutional architecture
The rules, mandates and constraints that decide where capital is permitted to go before any judgment about where it should go.
The house standard
How a paper is made.
The standard is fixed, and it is the same for every paper regardless of length or subject.
- I
Sources
Official and licensed data only. Bank of England, the Office for National Statistics, the European Central Bank and Eurostat, alongside licensed market data. Attribution is stored with the series, not bolted on at the end.
- II
Construction
Method stated before result. Where a figure is derived, the derivation is shown. Where a series is revised, the revision is carried.
- III
Review
Every paper is read against the house standard before release. Claims that cannot be sourced are removed rather than softened.
- IV
Release
Dated, versioned, and issued into the client application under the reader’s tier. Nothing is backdated and nothing is quietly amended.
Formats
Three lengths, and the record behind them.
White papers
The long form. A single question taken to its conclusion, with the full apparatus of sources and derivation.
Institutional papers
Written to a specific institutional question, and where commissioned, held exclusively to the commissioning party.
Long-form analysis
Shorter standing work on a live mechanism, revisited as the mechanism changes rather than on a publication calendar.
The Working Record
Attached to every paper, for Tier II readers: the question, the hypotheses rejected and why, the data lineage, the trials, the judgement calls and the sign-off. How the conclusion was reached, not a method for anything.
Judge it yourself
Read before you commit.
The first white paper will be published here in full.
It will be free to read, with no account, and it is written to the same standard as every paper behind access. The rest of the library is released under tiered access: see Access.
